Apple will periodically release iOS updates for its products. The updates can range from performance updates to security updates to feature enhancements. It is best practice to run the updates when they become available to ensure that your device is running efficiently and is as secure as possible.
You can update the iOS on your iPad by following the steps listed below:
1. Locate the settings icon on your device. Often, if there is an update available a red "1" will appear on the settings icon.
2. Once you click on the settings icon, you will be brought to your settings page. Locate the General tab on the left-hand menu bar and select it. Once the General tab is open, click on Software Update.
3. Once you click on Software Update, it will bring you to the update screen. Here you will find more information about the update, along with the option to install the update. When you are ready, select the Install Now button. *If you are actively using the LC360 Mobile App, please see the information below prior to installing any updates*
4. If you are unsure if you have the most recent update, you can also follow the above steps to identify if there is an update available to you or if you are up-to-date.
LC360 Mobile App and iOS Updates
After updating your iOS version, it is possible that you may not be able to open the LC360 Mobile App. At this time, the workaround to this behavior is to delete the LC360 Mobile App and re-download it from the Apple App Store. To ensure that you do not lose any data that you may have worked on, please make sure that any inspection data that you have completed within the LC360 app is committed back to the web version of LC360 prior to moving forward with an iOS update.
